Internal Audit

General Information

Internal Audit is an independent appraisal function established within an organization to examine and evaluate its activities as a service to the organization. The Internal Audit Chief Auditor reports directly to the DCS Board of Trustees.

The Internal Audit staff is organizationally independent of all functions at DCS and maintains an independence of attitude and judgment in the handling of audit activities. They are not assigned duties nor engage in activities that they would normally be expected to review. Qualifications and responsibilities of each Internal Audit staff member are consistent with the provisions of the DCS personnel policies.
