Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff office is led by Susan Falvo.  In her capacity as Chief of Staff, Ms. Falvo oversees numerous departments at DCS that include: Communications/Public Relations, Marketing, Community Relations, Biofuel, Psychological Services, Facilities Management, Professional Development and Instructional Media. Ms. Falvo joined Dallas County Schools in September, 2009.  She has over 25 years of experience in marketing, public relations and publicity, communications, media relations and management, community relations and involvement, government affairs and relations, events and event management, business retention, business development, staff retention and development, fundraising and corporate sponsorship.  She received her BA Degree from the University of Oklahoma and her MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she also taught Marketing and Economics for several years.  Professional affiliations include the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA), National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO), and the American Marketing Association (AMA).

Ms. Falvo is very active in civic and community endeavors.  Her current community involvement includes:
