Gloria Shields All-American Publications Workshop

The Gloria Shields All-American Publications Workshop, sponsored by Dallas County Schools, gives students and teachers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing and assembling high school yearbooks and newspapers.

The program is also committed to helping students achieve their academic goals following high school. Each year, the Jim Davidson Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who shows evidence of ability and merit in the field of scholastic journalism.

After thirty-two years, the workshop is still attracting hundreds of students to Dallas. The integrity and success of the program can be attributed to the lineup of extremely talented faculty members, the commitment shared by teachers and students to achieve more and the vision of an exemplary journalism workshop that Gloria Shields brought to light years ago.

The 2013 workshop will take place on July 7 - 11 at the Marriott Quorum Hotel. Click here for more information.
