Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a positive attitude toward people and professional situations and should be able to resolve student problems.
  • Need exceptional communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively deal with special needs students.
  • Anyone who has been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude may not be employed. Dallas County Schools will run a pre-employment criminal check, and will check criminal records throughout employment.
  • Monitors must receive a satisfactory evaluation before, and throughout employment.
  • Must pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test.
