The DCS Business Department is charged with effectively utilizing financial resources to insure the success of the students in the school districts served by Dallas County Schools. The Business Department oversees the Payroll and Purchasing Divisions.
Consistent with Federal and State law, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and the Financial Accountability System Resource Guide of the Texas Education Agency, the Business Department is responsible for the following activities:
- Billing and Collection
- Accounts Payable
- Vendor Relations
- Fixed Asset Management
Dallas County Schools operates on a adopted a June 30th fiscal year end starting the 2010-2011 school year.
